The invention of the waterjet tool made possible a new way to make marble and glass mosaics. Not only could the “blade” make more precise cuts allowing pieces to fit tightly but it reduced waste and allowed for more intricate designs. That was the 1980’s and exquisite mosaic offerings exploded. Now the only limit to creating gorgeous mosaics was the human imagination.
